Comedy king, David Dhawan’s latest offering, Chashme Baddoor is the official remake of the 80’s classic of the same name. The film stars Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles along with Rishi Kapoor in the supporting cast.

The film is a comic take on the friendship between three good for nothing lads and what happens when one of the boys starts a romance with a girl who has spurned the other two. Sid aka Ali Zafar is the ‘Seedha Ladka’, the studious one, and his ‘Do Kaminey Dost’ are ‘Filmy Kamina’ Jai aka Siddharth and ‘Poetic Kamina’, Omi aka Divyendu and then comes Taapsee Pannu as Seema, the modern ‘Phataka Haseena’ who has them all in a tizzy.  The story revolves around how the two rejected friends throw a spanner in the works of the budding romance and then try to salvage it when they realize that Sid truly loves Seema. Rishi Kapoor as Joseph Furtado reprises the role of Lallan Miya played by Saeed Jaffrey but this time he is not the disgruntled paanwala whom the three owe money to but a café owner. He has his own love story going with the sprightly, elegant Josephine (Lillete Dubey).
